My Story

I am Belgian and Luxembourgish, born and raised in Belgium, and initially trained as an interpreter — so nothing really destined me for the financial sector. Yet, my career took an unexpected and fulfilling path. I began as a Relationship Manager in Private Banking, working closely with Russian-speaking and Eastern European HNWIs. I truly enjoyed the world of banking and wealth management, but I wanted to broaden my horizons and take on new challenges. This led me to join KPMG in 2001 as a Management Consultant.

At KPMG, I spent over two decades leading and delivering transformation projects in Strategy, Operational Efficiency, Customer Experience, Technology and Innovation, and Human Resources. I was promoted to Partner in 2011 and held multiple senior leadership roles, including Head of Consulting and Banking & Insurance Industry Leader. These experiences allowed me to gain a broader perspective on business, leadership, and innovation across industries.

Today, I serve as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Trusted Advisor to boards and specialised committees. Drawing on my extensive consulting experience, deep understanding of the financial industry, and leadership expertise, I provide strategic guidance at both executive and non-executive levels. To support this new chapter, I created my own company, ONEGIN sàrl — a name inspired by my favourite opera, Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky. Much like the opera’s themes of transformation, self-discovery, and the impact of choices, my work is about guiding organisations through change with clarity, purpose, and vision.
